Rejecting help

“..human thinking is deeply flawed. Not only that, but we are capable of holding onto our false beliefs for a lifetime in the face of considerable evidence to the contrary. Not only do people come to us for help, but they also put up a prolonged fight against accepting the assistance they pay us to provide. As a species, we humans can be dumb, stubborn and proud – a costly combination”                                  L. Cozolino “Why therapy works”

Just a reminder that the “dumb, stubborn and proud”  applies to us as well as our patients. In that respect we are truly fellow-travelers.
