In Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) \u00a0there is an exercise where you\u2019re asked to consider what could be written on your tombstone.<\/p>\n
I hope mine would say something like:<\/p>\n
Sophia Parnas<\/em><\/p>\n RIP<\/em><\/p>\n She had a good crack at life and met some extraordinary people on the way<\/em><\/p>\n Rather than:<\/p>\n Sophia Parnas<\/em><\/p>\n RIP<\/em><\/p>\n She was very busy but managed to do \u00a0all the things on her to-do-list (Just)<\/em><\/p>\n Or<\/p>\n Sophia Parnas<\/em><\/p>\n RIP<\/em><\/p>\n Whatever the crisis she never went to bed without having done the dishes<\/em><\/p>\n <\/em>Okay, maybe not the last one because lying on one\u2019s tombstone is in pretty bad taste but you get my drift.<\/p>\n What will yours say?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Sometimes we get so engulfed in the details of mundane life that we lose track of the bigger picture.
