Keep your gaze on the bandaged place. That\u2019s where the light enters you<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, Leonard Cohen has beautifully expressed the idea that it is our broken bits (and who hasn\u2019t got some of those?) that can enrich our lives in the song Anthem: \u201c <em>There\u2019s a crack, a crack in everything, that\u2019s how the light gets in<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5zKk76YkF1U\">here<\/a> to hear Anthem<\/p>\n<p>To me it is comforting to know that our difficulties need not be in vain.
